Obituary

Linda Duncan, 79, of Plattsmouth, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2026. On April 15, 1946, she was born, in Plattsmouth, to Marion and Elnora (Hennings) Barnard.

Linda found joy in the simplest pleasures-whether it was a leisurely trip to the zoo, diving into the world of genealogy, or curling up with a good book. She also had a passion for history and loved watching old movies.

This passion for history led her to serve, for more than four decades, as the dedicated registrar at the Cass County Museum, a role she embraced with enthusiasm and a genuine love for sharing the past with her community. Her contributions to preserving local history will be remembered and cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Linda is survived by her nephew, Dan (Patty) Cunningham of Plattsmouth, and nieces, Teresa (Hugh) Redding Simmons and Camilla Cunningham, both of California. Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, Robert Duncan, brothers, Glen Barnard and Lynn Barnard and sisters Vivian Marvin, Carlisa Gansemer, Joan Barnard, and Kay Cunningham.

Per Linda's wishes, no services will be held. Memorials may be directed to the Cass County Museum.
