Linda Elisabeth Malmos, age 75, of Plattsmouth, NE, passed away on December 3, 2023, in Plattsmouth, Nebraska. She was born on April 25, 1948, in Ida Grove, IA, to Eldon and Herma (Travis) Hilker.

Linda spent much of her time growing up with her aunt and uncle, Lavera and Ralph Hilker. She attended school at Ida Grove and graduated from there in 1966. She went on to pursue a fulfilling career as a Nurse.

Throughout her life, Linda found joy in the simple pleasures. Whether it was a leisurely walk, quality time with her grandchildren, or immersing herself in the beauty of nature. Linda lived a life filled with love and fulfillment. She enjoyed camping, especially at the Louisville Lakes, where she created lasting memories. As a testament to her commitment to community and service, Linda was an active member of the Ladies Aux VFW.

Linda will be remembered for her warm heart, compassionate spirit, and unwavering dedication to those she held dear. She has left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her, and her memory will forever be cherished.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Kim Malmos of Plattsmouth, and son Kory (Pamela) Malmos of Elkhorn. Linda was a doting grandmother to Mason Malmos, Lucas and Ava Malmos, and Thomas and Kyle Ficenec. In addition to her immediate family, Linda leaves behind her brother Ronald Hilker of Kirbyville, TX, many nieces and nephews, and her cousin, Jimmy Hilker of Ida Grove, IA. She is preceded in death by her parents and her aunt and uncle, Lavera and Ralph Hilker.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 11:00 AM at the Harvey Funeral Home Chapel in Plattsmouth, NE. Family will greet friends an hour (10 – 11 AM) prior to the service. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.
