Marcia E. Holdridge

Marcia E. Holdridge, was born March 12, 1951to Harold and Theda Martha (Kaffenberger) Meisinger in Omaha, NE.  She passed away in the company of friends and family on Monday, April 16, 2018 at the Bellevue Medical Center in Bellevue, Nebraska.

Along with her two brothers James and Steve the family lived in rural Weeping Water where the family farmed.  She graduated from Weeping Water High School with the Class of 1969.

She began Marcia’s Tours and Travel and for 30 years provided many wonderful trips for Cass County residents and throughout the metro area.  Marcia enjoyed many community activities, becoming a member of the Plattsmouth Chamber of Commerce, and attending community functions throughout the years.  She spent many years as the coordinator of the Miss Cass County Contest held during the Cass County Fair.    Marcia and John created the annual Chicken Chariot Race for the then Kass Kounty King Korn Karnival and was named a Lady of the Realm for her many contributions.     She was also involved with the Catholic Daughters.

Marcia enjoyed singing providing many functions with her beautiful voice and she also enjoyed her time as “Diamond” the Clown, entertaining people of all ages.

On November 7, 1985 Marcia married the love of her life John Holdridge in Las Vegas, Nevada.   They spent 30 years enjoying life together.

She is survived by her brother: Steve (Verna) Meisinger of Louisville, NE; nephews:  Steve and Terry Meisinger; niece:  Kim Harris; step-children:  Mark (Beth) Holdridge, Maria (Christopher) Hendricks.  She is also survived by many cousins and close family friends.

Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, Harold & Martha Meisinger, husband John Holdridge, brother James Meisinger

Visitation will be Sunday, April 22 1:00 until 4:00 P.M. at Harvey Funeral Home with a Rosary to follow at 5:00 P.M. at the Church of the Holy Spirit.

Funeral services will be Monday, April 23, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. at the Church of the Holy Spirit with Father Michael Houlihan officiating.

Burial will follow the service at Oak Hill Cemetery in Plattsmouth, NE.

Pallbearers are Ted Jochim, Bill Worlein, Alan Horn, Caleb Dickerson, Austin Meisinger and Dennis Keil.

Honorary pallbearers include, Meredie Ludwig, Kayla & Courtney Harvey, Alicia Oswalt and Julia Sweeney
