Margaret Toman-Ingwerson passed away at her home in Plattsmouth on February 28, 2017 at the age of 98 years. Margaret was born in Rock Creek Nebraska on May 22, 1918 to Harry and Elizabeth Henton. She was the second born of five children including brothers Dale, Oliver, and Harry, and sister Betty. Margaret worked on the family farm and graduated from Plattsmouth High School in 1936. She attended beauty school and worked as a beautician prior to marrying her first love, David Toman. Together they had two sons, Gary and Joe. Margaret quit her job and worked side by side with her husband on their farm and raised their children. David fell ill and passed away in 1969. Margaret was remarried to Sterling Ingwerson in 1981. After Sterling's passing, she moved off the farm into Plattsmouth where she lived out the rest of her life surrounded by a loving family and many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, all of her siblings, husbands David and Sterling, and son Gary. She is survived by son Joe (Judy) Toman of Plattsmouth, grandchildren Bob Toman of Lincoln, Cindy Penke, Kim (Chris)Volwiler, Vicki (Brian) Sohl, and Dan (MaLinda) Toman all of Plattsmouth, 16 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 1:00pm at the Christ Lutheran Church on Highway 66, Louisville, Nebraska. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 5 from 1:00-8:00pm with family present from 6:00-8:00pm at Harvey Funeral Home in Plattsmouth, Nebraska. Memorials to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and the American Cancer Society in honor of her sons.
