Marie M O'Donnell

Marie M. O’Donnell, age 97 of Plattsmouth, NE was born January 21, 1921 in Murray, NE to Arthur W. and Ida M. (Richter) Read. She passed away July 24, 2018 at her home in Plattsmouth, Nebraska

Marie was united in marriage to John J. O’Donnell on September 22, 1940 in Glenwood, IA.  Together they had two daughters Janice and Sally. They made their home in Plattsmouth until moving to Lincoln in the late 1960’s.  After John’s death, she returned to Plattsmouth to be closer to her family.  Marie worked in the hotel coffee shop and at the bomber plant in the kitchen during WWII.

She is survived by daughters: Janice (Gene) Farris of Plattsmouth and Sally O’Donnell (Doug Desch) of Murrieta, CA. seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents Arthur and Ida and her loving husband John.  Her brother Ernest Read and sister Eva Crunk.

Graveside Inurnment Services will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 9:30 AM at Oak Hill Cemetery, Plattsmouth, Nebraska
