Marie C Schram

Marie Catherine Schram, 88, lifelong resident of Papillion, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, September 23rd, 2025, in Plattsmouth, NE. She was born on August 3rd, 1937, in Papillion, to Ferdinand and Anna (Winter) Volz.

Marie dedicated much of her life to caring for others, working in home healthcare until the remarkable age of 80. She also poured her love into her family as a devoted mother and homemaker. She was a devoted fan of Nebraska football and volleyball and found joy in the thrill of NASCAR races. Marie was able to make multiple trips over the years with her children and playing Keno was a pastime she enjoyed.

Marie is survived by her children: Mary Buckner, Cheryl (Terry) Guffey, Charles (Teresa) Schram, John (Carol) Schram, Cathy Schram; 21 grandchildren; and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Philip Schram, and her brothers, Joseph and William Volz.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 26th, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Saint Mary Magdalene Cemetery, Omaha.

Serving as pallbearers will be Andrew Schram, Brandon Schram, Mason Schram, Jack Schram, Kyle Maddux, Bryan Maddux, Travis Maddux, Troy Smith, C.J. Schram, and Philip Schram.

The family respectfully requests no memorials.
