Mark Timothy Boyd, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend passed away May 14, 2024, at the age of 68, in Omaha, Nebraska. Mark was born on July 2, 1955, to Arvil and Myrtice Boyd in Sacramento, California.
Much of Mark’s childhood was spent in Biceville, Florida. However, when Mark was thirteen, his family would relocate to, and Mark would eventually graduate from, Burkburnett, Texas. Growing up, Mark was affectionately known as "Timmy" due to his shorter stature. As he matured into adulthood, he left behind his childhood nickname and preferred the name Mark. He loved crossword puzzles, adored babies, enjoyed watching WWF wrestling, and had a particular fondness for Dr Pepper and Mounds candy bars. Mark held no love, however, for pepper, cheese, and anything spicy.
He was known for his warm and boisterous greetings, as well as his friendly nature, which endeared him to all who knew him. In his teenage years, Mark found solace in his faith and was baptized in Jesus' name.
Mark was preceded in death by his loving parents, Arvil, and Myrtice, as well as his brothers Ray and Gene, and his sister Linda. He is survived by his sister Marsha (Elvin) Anthony of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, along with numerous nieces and nephews, who will carry his memory in their hearts.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Prestige Care Center and the Gentiva Hospice team for their compassionate care and support during Mark's final days. Mark's presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A memorial service for Mark will be held Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Bethel Christian Ministries – 3702 Giles Rd, Bellevue, NE, 68147. Memorials are suggested to Bethel Christian Ministries.
