LIVESTREAM (Click Here)

Mary Gail P. Keller, age 80 of Plattsmouth, Nebraska was born on February 27, 1946, in Watertown, Minnesota to Hans & Rosemary (Porter) Meyer. She passed away peacefully on April 18, 2026, at the Hillcrest Health and Rehabilitation Center in Bellevue, Nebraska.

After graduating from Waconia High School in 1964, Mary Gail went on to pursue a degree in cosmetology. She began her professional journey in a beauty salon in Wayzata, MN where she met the love of her life, Jerry Keller. They were united in marriage on March 11, 1967, at the Minnetrista Baptist Church in St. Bonifacius, MN. The couple moved to LaPlatte, NE in 1970 and later established their home in Plattsmouth, NE in 1974. Following a short tenure at Allied Moving Company, Mary Gail spent 20 years at American National Bank, where she rose through the ranks to retire as the manager of the Plattsmouth branch.

Family was Mary Gail’s greatest pride and her life’s work. She lived her life with a rare selflessness, consistently putting the needs and dreams of her loved ones above her own. She was a constant presence in the lives of her family—attending every game, celebrating every triumph, and providing a soft place to land during every hardship. She lived for the lively spirit of family gatherings. Her legendary Sunday lunches became a cornerstone of family tradition, a testament to her talent and her generous heart.

Just as she nurtured her family, she found great joy in tending her garden, cultivating beauty in every flower and plant she touched. Throughout her life, she cultivated a deep love for travel and explored the world with enthusiasm. An avid card player, Mary Gail was a member of a Pinochle Club for 25 years and often enjoyed card games at the Senior Center.

Mary Gail was a devoted member of Living Water Church, where she dedicated her time to teaching Sunday school, assisting with Vacation Bible School, and managing the communion set-up for many years. Additionally, she was an active member of the Plattsmouth Eagles Club FOE #365, where she served as a trustee and a Golden Eagle.

Mary Gail is survived by her husband of 59 years, Jerry Keller of Plattsmouth, NE; her children, Debbie (Bob) Curnyn of Omaha, NE, Mike (Karen) Keller of Omaha, NE, and Paul (Christie) Keller of Glenwood, IA; grandchildren, Caitlin Curnyn, James Curnyn, Brandon Walker, Zyler Keller, Bailey Keller, Bryant Keller and Bryce Keller; three great grandchildren, Sterling, Adrianna and Colter Walker; her brother Duane (Maryann) Meyer of Carver, MN; her sisters-in-law Carol Meyer of Florida; and Jane Meyer of Mesa, AZ. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hans and Rosemary Meyer; brothers, Hans, Ernest and Douglas Meyer; and sister-in-law, Mary Meyer.

The family will greet friends at Brian P. Harvey Funeral Home on April 24, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
