Mary Kathleen (“Kathy”) Gorton, age 75, a devout Christian of Plattsmouth, NE, moved to her heavenly home on April 19, 2024. Kathy was born in Upper Falls, Maryland, in 1949 to Lynn and Lenora Dilworth. Kathy graduated from Perry Hall High School in Baltimore 1967. She married her beloved husband Jack on December 23, 1972, and soon became an avid gardener and voracious reader. Kathy’s faith was strong. She worked in many roles at the First Presbyterian Church, and served as an Elected Elder.

Kathy was preceded in death by her mother Lenora Dilworth, her father Lynn (“Bus”) Dilworth and her younger brother Michael. She is survived by her husband Jack, daughter Julie (Bob) Hollenbeck, granddaughters Jessica and Jenny Hollenbeck, as well as siblings Ann Barbe, Richard, Douglas, and Russell Dilworth.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Plattsmouth, Nebraska with Rev. Matt Coplen officiating.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 24, 2024 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM with family greeting friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the First Presbyterian Church of Plattsmouth.
