Maryl I. Mcmillian

Maryl I. McMillian age 98 of Plattsmouth was born May 11, 1918 in Ames, NE to Ralph and Sarah (Booth) Taylor. She passed away May 23, 2016 at the Nebraska Masonic Home in Plattsmouth, Nebraska. Maryl was united in marriage to James F. McMillian on October 28, 1957 in Omaha, NE. Together they raised their family in Plattsmouth while Jim operated the State Farm Agency for 32 years. After they retired, they lived in Florida and Missouri before Maryl returned to Plattsmouth to live at the Nebraska Masonic Home. She also was a member of the Junior Women’s Club of Plattsmouth and a member of the Ballwin Chapter #435 Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her children, David Carper (Jackie) of Martinsdale, IA; Candace Wingrove of Cottleville, MO, Carol A. Urfer (Don) of Sarasota, FL; grandchildren: Kristal, Eric (Danielle) Meisinger, Karin (Chuck) Graeser, Ashley Ackerson, Heather Odom; great grandchildren: Aiden, Abbie, Emry, Nicholas, Peyton, Maddie, and Livy; brother Robert Taylor and several nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces. Maryl was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James McMillian, daughter Zola Ann; brothers and sisters Ralph Taylor Jr., Naomi Taylor, Walter and Lyle Haidley and Mardell Borcherding. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at the funeral home from 5:00 until 8:00 PM with the family present. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 10:30 AM at the Harvey funeral Chapel with Rev. Michael McGregor officiating. Graveside Services will be Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 2:30 P.M. at the Fremont Memorial Cemetery in Fremont, NE. Pallbearers are Merle, Bret, Bradley Renner, Mike Stapp and Tom Hirz Memorials may be directed to The Nebraska Masonic Home in Plattsmouth, NE
