Minton "Jack" Prall, Jr.

Minton “Jack” Prall, Jr age 82 of rural Murray, Nebraska was born October 21, 1936 in Omaha, Nebraska  to Minton Jack and Mildred Fern (Cook) Prall.  He passed away at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, January 19, 2019.

Jack grew up in Omaha, graduating from Tech High School.  After high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1954.  His career in the Air Force took him around the world including England where he met Velma “Val” Thrower.  The two were married on August 17, 1957 in Norwich, England.  In 1977, Jack retired from the Air Force as a Master Sargent after serving for 23 years including during the Vietnam War.  After retiring from the Air Force, Jack worked for Trump Industries and Kaffenberger’s.

They made their home on an acreage near Murray, Nebraska.    He enjoyed spending time with family, race cars, football and bowling.

Jack is survived by his children, Jack (Sandy) Prall III of Union, NE, Brad (Shelly) Prall of Plattsmouth, NE, Mike (Stacey) Prall of Lincoln, NE.  grandchildren, Meagan, Jack IV, Rebecca, Elijah, Zachary, Payton, great grandson, Minton Prall V.  He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Mildred Prall, wife Val Prall, a daughter, Gina Oja, brother, Randall Prall, and sister, Phyllis Hanson.

Funeral Services for Jack will be Friday, January 25, 2019  at 1:00 P.M. at Harvey Funeral Chapel in Plattsmouth, NE

NO Visitation.

Interment will be at the Lewiston Cemetery in rural Murray, NE
