Nadine F Freeburg

Nadine F. Freeburg age 81 of Plattsmouth, Nebraska passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at the Bellevue Medical Center in Bellevue, Nebraska.  She was born on August 15, 1936 at St. Catherine’s Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, the only child of Donald and Carolyn (Pizinger) White.

Nadine grew up in South Omaha and graduated from St. Mary’s High School.  She met Herbert DeWayne Freeburg and they were later married on May 2, 1956 at the Sarpy County Court House in Papillion, Nebraska.  Nadine and DeWayne made their home in Plattsmouth and raised their 8 children.  She was the primary caretaker of the home.  She was known for her excellent cooking skills and enjoyed being able to share her talent with friends and family.

S he was raised in a Catholic Home, but after marriage, she attended and raised her children at the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Plattsmouth.  She enjoyed ice skating, going to dances with DeWayne, playing bridge and rummy.  Her greatest love was the time she was able to spend with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her six daughters, Janie Shera and her husband Larry of Plattsmouth, NE; Teresa Heedum of Plattsmouth, NE; Sharon Eubanks and her husband Stephen of Bellevue, NE; Kathy Bobenmoyer and her husband David of Murray, NE; Mary Dahlin and her husband Kim of South Sioux City, NE; Kim Kostal and her husband Jerry of Papillion, NE; two sons Donnie Freeburg and his wife Kelly of Plattsmouth, NE, Mike Freeburg of Plattsmouth, NE; 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren

Nadine was preceded in death by her  parents, Donald & Carolyn White, husband, Herbert DeWayne Freeburg, parent-in-law, Herbert & Elthea Freeburg, grandsons, Jason Heedum and Travis Bobenmoyer.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM with family greeting friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home.

A Private Family Funeral Service will be held with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery in Plattsmouth, Nebraska.

Pallbearers were  Christopher Rieman, Brad Eubanks, Ryan Freeburg, Blake Kostal, Cole Freeburg, Matthew Anson, In Memory of Jason Heedum and Travis Bobenmoyer.

Honorary Pallbearers were  Jennifer Adkins, Brooke Heedum, Brandy Moyer, Teara Adams, Julie Wischmann, Erin Minshall, Heidi Rieman
