Nancy Sue Heigl, age 82, passed away on October 26, 2026, at Bellevue Medical Center. She was born on September 18, 1944, in Omaha, Nebraska to Jerry and Phyllis (Robbins) Konfrst.

Nancy graduated from Plattsmouth High School in 1962 and shortly thereafter, she united in marriage with Gayle Heigl on September 21, 1962, in Fremont, Nebraska. Together, they built a loving home filled with cherished memories and joy. Throughout her career, Nancy served as a dedicated paraprofessional for Plattsmouth Elementary School, and she also cared for residents at the Plattsmouth Manor.

An avid lover of nature, Nancy found great joy in tending to her flower gardens and nurturing a variety of plants. Her enthusiasm for life extended to her unwavering support of Nebraska Football and Volleyball, and her favorite moments were those spent with her beloved children and grandchildren.

Nancy was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church.

She is survived by her husband, Gayle Heigl of Plattsmouth, NE, her daughter, Tammy (David) Jensen of Omaha, NE; her sons, Jeff (Darlene) Heigl of Cleveland, OH and Jon (Amy) Heigl of Cleveland, OH. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Melissa, Bradley, Brittany, Brianna, Nicholas, Kaitlin, Jessica, Cheyenne and Taylor and 12 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry & Phyllis Konfrst, son Joseph (Joey) Heigl and sister Patricia Konfrst.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
