Nora's life was spent in Plattsmouth, where she graduated from Plattsmouth High School in 1950. On March 15, 1952, she married Franklin D. Eyster at the First United Methodist Church in Plattsmouth. Their union was a beautiful testament to love and commitment, spanning 72 years of shared life and memories.
After high school, Nora worked briefly at Mutual of Omaha before dedicating herself to raising her three children—Richard, Linda, and Teresa. Her devotion to her family was evident as she actively participated in her children's activities and was a strong supporter of the Plattsmouth Band Parents Organization. Later, Nora returned to work, in the medical records office at Plattsmouth Manor until her retirement in 1991.
Nora's passions were many, encompassing a love for crafts such as stained glass work, sewing, and reading. She took immense pride in her yard, particularly her flower gardens, which she nurtured with care and joy. Family was at the heart of Nora’s life; she treasured time spent with her children and grandchildren, and the family camping vacations became a cherished tradition.
A devoted member of the First United Methodist Church in Plattsmouth, Nora was actively involved with the United Methodist Women’s organization. Together with Frank, she volunteered extensively with the SOWERS organization, dedicating countless hours to building churches and schools and engaging in mission work.
