Patricia Anne "Patty" Coleman, age 63 of Plattsmouth, Nebraska passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at her home surrounded by family. She was born on February 20, 1963, in Grand Island, Nebraska, to Roger M. and Berniece E. (Nissen) Sullivan.

Patty graduated from Doniphan High School in 1981 and furthered her education at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Speech Communications. While at UNL, Patricia met her future husband, Brett Coleman, and the two were married on November 7, 1987, at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Doniphan.

Patty dedicated many years of her life working at the Nebraska Medical Center in the Center for Continuing Education before her retirement. As a devoted member of the Church of the Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth, Patty was active within the Parish Council of Catholic Women (PCCW) and played a significant role in the restoration and beautification of the Grotto. Additionally, she served as the President of the Plattsmouth Garden Club, where she fostered her love for gardening and community involvement.

Patricia was passionate about the outdoors; she delighted in kayaking, hiking, camping, and reading. She adored her beloved cat, PurrC.

She is survived by her husband, Brett Coleman, of Plattsmouth, NE, sister, Peggy (Ron) Schoen of Lincoln, NE, brothers, Dr. Tim (Mary Clare) Sullivan of Lincoln, NE, Fr. John Sullivan of Lincoln, NE, sister-in-law, Karen Sullivan of Doniphan, NE, brother-in-law, Kenny Clausen of Grand Island, NE, mother-in-law, Janet Coleman of Omaha, NE. sister-in-law Kim (Kevin) Capron of Fremont, NE, brother-in-law, Garrett (Kelly) Coleman of LaVista, NE. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents, Roger and Berniece Sullivan, brother Mark Sullivan, sister, Karen Clausen and father-in-law, Larry Coleman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Church of the Holy Spirit on Friday, October 9, 2026 at 11:30 AM . A visitation will take place at the Church of the Holy Spirit on Thursday, October 8, 2026, with family greeting friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM followed by a Rosary at 7:00 PM.
