Penney I. Jackson age 69 of Gretna, Nebraska passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at her home surrounded by family.  She was born April 17, 1951 in Nebraska City, NE to Ralph M and Miriam E. (Haswell) Payton

Penney grew up in the Plattsmouth area, attended school and graduated from Plattsmouth High School with the Class of 1969.   She worked for many years as a data entry clerk for several companies, was a professional research consultant.  Penney loved to have a good time, do the two step, talk, (she never met a stranger), flirting, and was quite the jokester.  Penney loved being around her kids and grandchildren.

Penney is survived by her children,  Joshua (Tyler) Jowers, Gretna, April Jowers, Homosassa, FL, Dana Jowers, Chaz, FL, Danielle Jowers (fiancé David Sodberg, Denver, CO and Edwin (Tammy) Surber, Huntsville, MO; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; Sister: Jeri (Gary) Thiede, Grand Island.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Miriam Payton and a granddaughter, Samantha Cole.

She will always be remembered by the saying “Glad you got to see me!”

A Private funeral service will be held Sunday, November 22, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at the Harvey Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Steve Helwig officiating.  The public may livestream the services on the funeral home Facebook page (click on the link at the top).

Visitation will be Saturday, November 21, 2020, 4:00 P.M. thru 8:00 P.M.  State guidelines and social distancing will be followed, masks required.

Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation.
