Raymond A Stark

Raymond A. Stark age 67 of Plattsmouth, Nebraska was born on July 30, 1950 in Chicago, IL to Richard and Anna (Gerling) Stark.  He passed away surrounded by family on Monday, September 25, 2017 at his home.    Ray was raised in the Chicago area. At age 17 during the height of the Vietnam War, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp.  He was assigned to a riffle battalion and was stationed in Vietnam.  He earned the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and a Purple Heart Medal for being Combat Wounded.  He was Honorably Discharged on March 27, 1970.  Ray became a heavy equipment operator and also enjoyed carpentry.  On Nov. 23, 1982 he was united in marriage to Christine Marks in Casa Grande, AZ.  He is survived by his wife, Christine of Beaver Lake; Children: Richard (Tina) Mailhot of Bellevue, NE,  Michele Montiel of Republic, MO, Rusty Stark of MI, Anna Stark of Ozark, MO, Michael (Charissa Mailhot of Red Granite, WI, Amanda (Michael) White of Hebron, NE, Lisa Woodruff of Springfield, MO and Victoria Stark of Plattsmouth, NE ; 25 Grandchildren; 4 Gr. Grandchildren;  and 8 Sisters/Brothers.                                                                              He was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Anna. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 10:00 AM. At First Baptist Church in Plattsmouth with Rev. Raymond Wicks officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services at the Church.  Burial will be in the Omaha National Cemetery at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 29, 2017.
