Raymond G. Stillahn

Raymond G. Stillahn age 83 of Plattsmouth, NE; was born on June 8, 1930 in Dunbar, Nebraska to George and Clara A. (Gess) Stillahn. He passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at the Bellevue Medical Center in Bellevue, Nebraska. Raymond was raised on a farm near Dunbar and graduated from Nebraska City High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served as a Military Policeman for 20 years until his retirement. During this time, he met and married Morine Stone on May 5, 1954 in Mineral Wells, Texas. Together, they raised three children, George, Rhonda and Debra. After retiring from the military, he worked in customer service for Hot Point/General Electric and for the Papillion-LaVista Public Schools. He enjoyed time he was able to spend with his family, especially his grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on antique cars, gardening and working in his yard and he and Morine spent many hours square dancing. He is survived by his Wife: Morine Stillahn of Plattsmouth, NE Children: George (Lisa) Stillahn of Ralston, NE; Rhonda Lagemann of Waterloo, NE; Debra (Dave) Harter of Omaha, NE; 5 Grandchildren: Doug (Brooke) Lagemann, Joe (Angie) Lagemann, Anna Day, Heather (Jeff) Elsasser, Andrew (Amanda) Martinez. 14 Great Grandchildren; Special Friend: Amanda Thumann of Papillion, NE; Sisters: Laurene (Clyde) Grossoehme of Albuquerque, NM; Doris Stokes, of Pompano Beach, Florida. Also survived by numerous Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents; 2 Grandchildren: Paul & Angela Lagemann; Sister: Evelyn Trotter. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, January 3, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church -16220 Hwy 75 - Plattsmouth, NE with Pastors Raymond Wicks and Terry Weible officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2nd from 1:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. with family greeting friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home. Interment will be held at a later date in Wyuka Cemetery in Nebraska City, Nebraska. Memorials may be directed to the First Baptist Church Youth.
