Rhonda Ann Welch, age 69 of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, passed away at her home on October 12, 2026. She was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on August 4, 1957.

Rhonda grew up in Council Bluffs, Iowa and attended Lewis Central High School, from which she graduated in 1975. Following her high school education, Rhonda furthered her studies at the Omaha College of Health Careers, where she earned her certification as a Medical Assistant. Her dedication to the field of medicine eventually led her to teach at the same school.

Rhonda was known for her vibrant spirit. She took pleasure in shopping, knitting, and beautifully decorating her home for the holidays. However, her greatest joy came from the time spent with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Rhonda was a strong-willed individual who derived satisfaction from serving others, and she will be remembered as a genuinely wonderful person by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Welch; her mother, Karen Parson; her daughter, Rachel Espinosa; her son, John Thirlwall; step-daughter, Linde (Mike) Newburn; stepson, Tim (Kori) Welch; and grandchildren, Nevaeh, Lilliana, Eva, Carter, Gavin, Ellyette, and Parker. She is also survived by two brothers Shawn (Sherri) Finney and Todd Finney.

Rhonda was preceded in death by: Jeffrey Parson and daughter-in-law, Sidney Thirlwall.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
