Richard D. “Dick” March age 79 of Plattsmouth was born on May 20, 1935 in Plattsmouth, Nebraska to Richard F. and Marie E. (Wright) March. He passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at his home in Plattsmouth, Nebraska. Dick grew up in Plattsmouth and graduated from Plattsmouth High School in 1953. He worked for many years as a Union Cement Finisher in and around the Omaha area. He was united in marriage on February 14, 1970 to Phyllis Schiessl. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, working in his yards, tending to his flower gardens. When time allowed he could be found at a variety of fishing locations. Aside from outdoor activities, he enjoyed watching the Prices Right and Nebraska Football. His greatest love was the time he was able to spend with his family. He was a member of the Operative Plasters and Cement Masons Union, F.O.E. #365 Eagles Club of Plattsmouth and the Lepert-Wolever Post #2543 V.F.W. of Plattsmouth. He is survived by his children, Beverly (Ken) Rose of Plattsmouth, NE; Deb (Jim) Tilson of Plattsmouth, Scott (Vickii) Barnard of Colorado, Vicki Tilson of Ashland, Sharon (Roger) Winters of LaPlatte, Janice (David) Kloch of Bellevue, Connie March of Plattsmouth. Brothers, Don March of Plattsmouth, Ron (Betty) March of Florida. 24 Grandchildren and 40 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother, Julia March, wife Phyllis, daughters, Susan Skidmore & Debra Stafford, son-in-law, Kevin Tilson, great granddaughter, Alyssa Johnson, sister-in-law, Marilyn March and a infant brother. MEMORIAL SERVICE: Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014 at 11:00 AM – Harvey Funeral Home, Plattsmouth, NE. INTERMENT: Pleasant Ridge Cemetery - Plattsmouth, NE.
