Robert J Stewart

Robert (Bob) Joseph Stewart, 84, of Plattsmouth, passed away Monday, September 18, 2023, at the Bellevue Medical Center. He was born April 13, 1939, to James Major Stewart and Mary Anne (Renfer) Stewart in Jackson, Michigan.

Robert was a lifelong learner, graduating with his bachelor’s degree from Tarkio College, in Tarkio, Missouri. He had a love for his country, serving for many years and eventually retiring from the Air Force. Bob was a parachutist and enjoyed skydiving. He was passionate about Jesus and was a strong supporter of the second amendment. Throughout the years, he shared his knowledge and talents as a Programmer for Northrop Grumman. On November 18, 2003, Robert married the love of his life, Peggy.

Surviving Robert are his wife Peggy Stewart of Plattsmouth, Nebraska; Georgine Helen Stewart, the mother of his children; two children, Michael George Stewart and Catherine Marie Stewart; grandchildren Robert James Stewart Jr, Melissa Emily Tranmer, Barbara Jean Stewart, Andrew James Stewart, Jacob Wayne Stewart, Parker Oliver Wilcox, Spencer Adam Wilcox; brother, Tom Stewart as well as his great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his sons, Robert James Stewart and Dennis Gene Stewart, and his sister Judy Mollitor.

A graveside service will be held Friday, October 13, 2023, at 3:30 PM at the Omaha National Cemetery.
