Roberta "Bobbi M Bailey

Roberta “Bobbi” M. (Shoemake) Bailey age 76 of Murray, NE was born July 25, 1943 in Auburn, Nebraska to James and Marjorie (Buck) Shoemake.  She passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 in Omaha, Nebraska.

On November 19, 1971 she married Jerold R. Bailey in Nebraska City, NE, together they raised their children Lori, Keith, Kim, and Michael.  She worked for American Meter on the assembly line and also at No Frills in the meat department.  She enjoyed hard work but also time with her family and hosting many family gatherings at her home.  Her home had many flowers and a garden which she maintained with joy.  Other interests were fishing, music, baking chocolate cakes and of course eating them.  Roberta loved sports and was an avid Husker football fan along with the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals.  You might even join her in playing cards.

She is survived by children:  Lori (Keith) Nye of Belle Vista, AR, Keith (Jo) Bailey of Bellevue, NE, Kim Bailey of Omaha, NE, Michael Bailey of Omaha, NE; Grandchildren:  Dawna (Jonathon) Shoemaker, Derek (Kesha) Nye, Everett & Gage Bailey, Sara (Nelson Henriquez) McIntosh, Rachel (Anthony) Balmer, Garrett Larson; Gr. Grandchildren:  Breanna & Lyndzee Shoemaker, Kensli Nye, Stella & Lincoln Henriquez, Reid & Rune Balmer; sister, Rhonda Shoemake, nephew Josh (Nicole) Compton and numerous family and friends.

Roberta was preceded in death by parents, James & Marjorie Shoemake; husband, Jerold; brother, Jimmy Shoemake; sister, Becky Compton

A private graveside service (for immediate family members) will be held Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Lewiston Cemetery in Murray, NE with Rev. Mike Njus officiating.

There will be a public visitation with no viewing Friday, June 5, 2020 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Harvey Funeral Home.

Memorials may be directed to the family for a later designation.
