Roger Dean Conn, Sr.

Roger Dean Conn, Sr. of Plattsmouth, NE passed away Wednesday August 3, 2011 in Plattsmouth, NE at the age of 61 years, 5 months and 18 days. He was born on February 15, 1950 in Plattsmouth, NE to Alfred and Genevieve (O’Donnell) Conn. He was married to Jody (Cantrell) July 3, 1969 and had 4 children Deana, Vikki, Jeremy and Roger D. Jr. Roger grew up in Plattsmouth where he attended school. He was employed for 20 years with the State of Nebraska Department of Roads doing road work. He is survived by his children: Deana Pohlmeier of Plattsmouth, NE; Vikki (Darrin) Thorburn of Augusta, KS; Jeremy Conn of Council Bluffs, IA and Roger D. Conn, Jr. of Augusta, KS; Grandchildren: Tanner Pohlmeier and Connor Pohlmeier of Plattsmouth; Brandon Kaszuba; Erin Thorburn; Kylie Henderson and Riley Arnold. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Sister Judy Purinton and Brother James Conn. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 5, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. at the Living Water Church in Plattsmouth, NE with Dr. Allan Wooters officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, August 4, 2011 from 1 – 9 P.M. with the family greeting friends from 6 -8 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Oakhill Cemetery, Plattsmouth, Nebraska. Memorials will be directed to the family.
