Ronald Howard Dickman

Ronald Howard Dickman age 74 of Plattsmouth, was born on April 25, 1941 in Hagler, Nebraska. He passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the Josie Harper Hospice House in Omaha, Nebraska. Ron was united in marriage to Reeda Kay Taylor on June 17, 1960 in Plattsmouth, Nebraska. Together they made their home in Plattsmouth and raised a son, Randy. Ron worked for 22 years in various capacities at the Baburek Metal Company in Plattsmouth and was also a member of the Laborers Local #1140 in Omaha. He enjoyed racing cars, a hobby that he participated in for more than 20 years, racing with John Adkins and Greg Larsen. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR racing. Ron was a member of the Eagles Aerie #968 of Nebraska City, Nebraska and was also a past Toastmaster. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Reeda Dickman, Plattsmouth, NE; Son, Randy (Kristene) Dickman of Troy, MO; Grandsons, Eric & Bradley Dickman, Brother, Richard (Mary) Dickman, Arnold, MO, Step Sister-in-law, Malaine Geschke and family, Syracuse, NE. 2 nieces, Lori Lindner and Stacey Welker. Also survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Beulah (Little) Dickman. Private family services will be held at a later date.
