Roy L. Henderson

Roy L. Henderson age 86, was born on April 14, 1929 in Harrison County, Iowa to Otis and Martha Anna (Loeffler) Henderson. He passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at the Nebraska Masonic Home in Plattsmouth, Nebraska. Roy graduated from Whiting High School in 1947. After graduating from high school, Roy went into the US Navy during the Korean War. After serving his time in the Navy, he went to work for the Rock Island Railroad, becoming a Yard Master before retirement. He was united in marriage to Wilma K. Lewis on May 7, 1952. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Council Bluffs, IA and a member of several Masonic Organizations, including Mizpah Lodge #302 A.F & A.M., Tangier Shrine and the Scottish Rite (Valley of Omaha/Orient of Nebraska) all of Omaha, NE. In his free time, he enjoyed camping, square dancing and working on cars. Roy is survived by his daughter, Dianne Krantz of LaVista, Nebraska, and a sister, Sharon Moody of Louisville, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Wilma Henderson and a infant sister. A Memorial Service with Masonic Rites will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the Nebraska Masonic Home Chapel, 1300 Ave D, Plattsmouth, NE.
