Sandra I Scott

Sandra I. Scott, 86, of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at Bellevue Medical Center. Born on December 18, 1936, in Omaha, Nebraska, she was the cherished daughter of Paul and Virginia (Fox) Lima.

Sandra's journey began in Nebraska City, where she received her education, graduating from Nebraska City High School. Eager to serve her country, she briefly enlisted in the United States Navy before returning to Nebraska and establishing her roots in Plattsmouth. There, she embarked on a successful career, owning and operating Lima's Clothing Store for many years before dedicating herself to public service in the Cass County Assessor's Office until her retirement.

A pillar of the community and a devout member of First Christian Church in Plattsmouth, Sandra found solace and strength in her faith. She was actively engaged in various ministries, notably contributing her time and passion to the women's fellowship group. Sandra's spirit thrived in the pages of her Bible, amidst the melodies of gospel music, and in the simple joys of walking through her cherished neighborhood.

Family held a central place in Sandra's heart. She reveled in the company of her grandchildren, creating lasting memories through trips to the park, zoo, and countless adventures. Throughout her professional endeavors, Sandra was committed to the Plattsmouth Chamber of Commerce.

Sandra is survived by her devoted son, Randall (Joanne) Scott of Bellevue, NE; loving grandchildren, Olivia (Caleb) McGowan of Lincoln, NE, Casey Scott of Bellevue, NE, Denzel (Samantha) Pearson of Omaha, NE; and adored great-grandson, Thorrin McGowan of Lincoln, NE. She leaves behind her brothers, Everett Addleman of Houston, TX, Arthur (Caroline) Lima of Bellevue, NE, sister-in-law, Rose Gebers of Lincoln, NE, along with several cherished nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Virginia Lima, infant daughter, Julie Scott, and brother, Ronald Lima.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, with family receiving friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Brian P. Harvey Funeral Home in Plattsmouth.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Sandra's life will take place on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at 11:00 AM, at First Christian Church in Plattsmouth, NE, officiated by Rev. Jim Spanjers.

Sandra will be laid to rest at Wyuka Cemetery in Nebraska City, NE.
