Sharon Lee Pohlmeier, 82, of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, passed away on November 20, 2023 in Omaha, Nebraska . She was born August 4, 1941, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Carl and Phyllis (Redd) Miller.

Sharon was a proud graduate of Plattsmouth High School, Class of 1960. On August 20, 1960, she united in marriage with Ron Pohlmeier, and together, they built a life in Plattsmouth, raising their five beloved children: Joe, Michelle, Terry, Brad, and Vicki. Sharon's heart was filled with a deep love for nature,  through her appreciation for flowers, plants, and birds. Her passion led her to employment at both the Village Nursery Garden Center and Brown's Floral.

Beyond her love for nature, Sharon was a woman of strong faith and a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit.   Her devotion to her family, whom she cherished deeply, marked her as a true matriarch. Sharon’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Sharon is survived by her children: Joe Pohlmeier of Plattsmouth, NE, Michelle (Allan) Hoover of Castle Rock, CO, Terry Pohlmeier of Sioux City, IA, Brad (Brandi) Pohlmeier of Linwood, KS, Vicki (Jason) Mick of Gilbert, AZ, and daughter-in-law Deana Pohlmeier of Plattsmouth, NE. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren: Tanner, Connor, Mary, Andy, Tommy, Austin, Blake, Kylia, Macey, Jackson, and Henry, as well as four great-grandchildren, Huxlei, Tavyn, Grayson and Parker. Sharon is preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, her husband Ron, and a close cousin, Ray Adkins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth, with Father Timmerman officiating.  Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

The family will greet friends on Tuesday, November 28, 2023,  from 6 – 7 PM,  followed by a Rosary at 7:00 PM at the Church.

The family requests that memorials be directed to the masses.
