Teri A (Meisinger) Ross

July 1, 1959 — February 27, 2023

Teri A. Meisinger Ross was born July 1, 1959 and was adopted by her parents, Leon and Charlene Meisinger.  Teri passed away on February 27, 2023 at the age of 63 following a short battle with cancer.

Teri was raised on the family farm in rural Louisville and is a 1977 graduate of Louisville High.  She attended Nebraska Methodist College and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Teri met Wayne Griffith and during their marriage, they had a daughter Tisha Marie Griffith.  She worked for a family doctor in Omaha prior to becoming a traveling nurse where she was assigned in Harlingen Texas.  While living in Texas, Teri worked in the medical field in San Benito, Los Fresnos, La Feria and Corpus Christi, Texas.

Teri is survived by her daughter, Tisha (Eli) of Corpus Christi, Texas and four grandchildren, Trey, Devin, Ramon and Azurene; her sister, Nancy (Bruce) Johnson of Plattsmouth; brother Todd Meisinger of Omaha.  Nephews Kyle Johnson of Omaha, Christopher (Samantha) Johnson of Murray and nieces Rachel (Bret) Schumacher, PhD of Omaha, Kaitlyn Johnson of Council Bluffs, IA and Erin (Mitch) McCann of Bennington, three great nephews, Blake, Owen and Bryce Johnson and three great nieces, Camryn and Dawsen McCann and Sophie Schumacher.  Her brother-in-law George Owings, Sioux City, Iowa and sister-in-law Lorrie Doss, Omaha plus numerous cousins.

Teri is preceded in death by her husband John Owings of Corpus Christi, Texas  and her parents, Leon and Charlene Meisinger, Plattsmouth, Nebraska.

Graveside services will be Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Glendale Cemetery, Hwy 66, Louisville, NE at 2:00 PM

The family will also be having the final resting of their parents, Leon and Charlene’s ashes at the same time.
