Tommy Mack Pelley age 72 of Plattsmouth, Nebraska was born on March 28, 1944 in Childress, Texas to Connie Mack and Thelma (Boggan) Pelley.  He passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2016 surrounded by family at his home in Plattsmouth, Nebraska.    Tommy was raised in Texas and graduated from Amarillo High School in 1962.  On January 21, 1965 he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he worked in the Weather Service for 25 years, retiring as a Chief Master Seargent on April 20, 1990.  During his military career, he received a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Psychology and Family Counseling.  Following his military career, he worked in Omaha in a Center for Abused Women and Children and later for the Marriott Hotel.   Tommy was married to Wilma Garrison and together they had two children, Elise and Matthew.  After Wilma’s death, he was united in marriage to Mary Hendrix and was blessed with three step children, Liz, Amy and Brad.  After Mary’s death, he met and was later married to Valerie Burt on August 23, 2008 in Colorado Springs and was blessed with two additional step-children, Dominic and Micaela.   He enjoyed spending time with his family and one of his favorite activities was golfing.  He also enjoyed playing billiards, bowling, watching movies, reading and going on walks.   He is survived by his wife, Valerie, Plattsmouth, NE; children, Elise (James) White, Cushing, OK, Matthew (Patti) Pelley, Plattsmouth, NE, step-children, Liz Leeds, Omaha, NE, Amy (Rick) Clabaugh, Urbana, IL, Brad (Mary) Leeds, Tavares, FL, Dominic Burt, Clovis, NM, Micaela (Draper) Walker, Elgin, SC, grandchildren, Matthew, Jesse and Savannah White, Mikaela Pelley, Madison Milbourn, Noah Milbourn, Amy Kish, Robert & Christian Clabaugh, LaMyia & Robert Covenington, Chloe Burt, Drea & Raymond Walker.   He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Wilma Pelley, second wife, Mary Pelley, infant daughter Rachel Pelley and his beloved dog Bella Girl.  A Celebration of Tommy’s Life will be held on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at 2:30 P.M. at First Baptist Church in Plattsmouth, Nebraska with Rev. Raymond Wicks  and Keith Bernhagen officiating.   Interment will be held at a later date in the Omaha National Cemetery.   No Visitation or Viewing.  Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.   Arrangements by Brian P.
