LIVESTREAM ( Click Here )

Travis David Ritter, age 40 of Madison, TN formerly of Plattsmouth, NE passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 17th, 2025.  Born on Saturday, May 4th, 1985, in Papillion, Nebraska, his birth home was Murray, Nebraska with much of his youth spent living in Plattsmouth.

Travis graduated from Lincoln Northeast High School in 2002, (a year ahead of his class) and pursued his interest in computers at Southeast Community College.  Travis’ first job was delivering the Plattsmouth Journal when he was 12, a job he took great pride in. Throughout his varied career, he worked as a convenience store cashier and hotel maintenance worker.  He found his true calling as a Karaoke DJ in the Lincoln and Kansas City areas.

Music was at the heart of Travis's life. As the lead  singer of the band Anti-Depressant, he and his friends played various gigs at the Joyo and open-air theaters in Lincoln and even recorded their own album. Travis enjoyed attending concerts, singing Karaoke, watching movies (an avid fan of Marvel films, he could school you on the back story of any character) and teaching himself the intricacies of computers.  He enjoyed the many opportunities he had to travel with his Dad to places like Yellowstone, Seattle, Gatlinburg, zip-lining at Geneva on the Lake, and the Grand Canyon-Royal Gorge-Vegas trip, as evidenced by the many trip photo albums he organized on Facebook. His dry sense of humor and generous spirit made him well-liked by everyone he encountered.

Travis was proud of his family & made sure to travel home to hold his little sister & nephews when they were born & attend their graduations, treasuring the time he got to spend with them.

Travis is survived by his mother, Susan (Kirk) Sunderman; father, Gary Ritter; sisters, Missy Wooten, Taylor Sunderman, and Cheri Sunderman; and his  nephews, Jayden, Kaleb, Logan, Noah, Emmett, Preston, Braylin, Peyton, and Jace. He is also remembered fondly by his aunts, Nancy Fuller and Barbara Reimer, and his grandmother, Hazel Sunderman and many other extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his baby brother Jeffrey Thomas Ritter, his grandparents, LeRoy and Mildred Ritter, David and Caroline Hefner, and Norman Sunderman; his uncle Richard Ritter; and his nephew, Ebbin Gehrke.
