Tyanna Ruth Jenkins

Tyanna Ruthann Jenkins, age 17, of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, was born on September 16, 2007, in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, and passed away on December 9, 2024, in Omaha, Nebraska.

Ty was a Junior at Omaha North High School, where she continued to build upon her many talents and bright future. Before attending Omaha North, she had also been a student at Conestoga and Plattsmouth Schools, where she formed lasting friendships and made countless memories. Despite her quiet demeanor, Ty was vibrant, active and excelled in many areas. She was an athlete, participating in volleyball, softball, soccer, wrestling, and track.

Tyanna was a loving big sister, who took great pride in her role within her family. She had a curious and adventurous palate, earning her the affectionate title of a "foodie" among her family and friends. Tyanna loved exploring new foods, but nothing could quite compare to the simple joy of savoring a fresh tomato straight from the garden.

Her love extended beyond her family and food to include animals, as she was a devoted pet lover with a compassionate heart for all creatures. Her bright mind and kind soul left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

She is survived by her parents, Josh and Jennifer Jorgensen, brothers, Marcus Baker, Anthony Baker and Noah Jorgensen, grandparents, Randy and Mary Jorgensen, great grandmother, Marge Muhr, and foster mother, Secretia Benton.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother Jill Baker.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 2:30 PM until 4:00 PM at One Life Church, 211 S 23rd St, Plattsmouth, NE.
