Sheworked first in the family business, Solomon’s Market, which was ahometown favorite for almost 20 years. When her sister, Fran, and brother‐in-law, Merlin, continued the family business as Jochimsen’s Market, she was Chief Cashier in charge of greeting every customer with a smile and a story. Vera moved to Omaha in the early 1970s where she worked at Tip Top Beauty Supply, consistently exceeding all production requirements with ease. She and mother, Elizabeth, split their time between Nebraska and California, over the next 20 years until they chose Anaheim, CA, as their home. Although small in stature, Vera was blessed with a big heart, personality and spirit. She loved her family and to sing, so birthdays and Christmas gave her particular joy.
