William "Bill" J. Plymale

William J. “Bill” Plymale, Sr. was born on September 16, 1932 in Grand Island, Nebraska. He passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at the VA Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 78 years, 4 months and 6 days. Bill graduated from high school in North Platte, Nebraska. After graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Army serving his country during the Korean War. After his discharge from the military he began a career with Western Electric as an Electrician for 34 years. After retiring, he went to work as the Cass County Zoning Inspector for 16 years. He was united in marriage to Kimberly Larsen on September 12, 2001 in Branson, Missouri. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. and the Masonic Lodge in Papillion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, boating and driving his corvette’s. He was also a avid Nebraska Husker and NASCAR fan. He is survived by Wife: Kimberly Plymale of Plattsmouth, NE; Children; William J. Plymale, Jr. (Sandi) of Beatrice, NE; Ross Plymale of Omaha, NE; Sheri Plymale of Bellevue, NE; Step-daughters: Shelly Brown of Bellevue, NE; Brook McConaughey (Brian) of Plattsmouth, NE; 7 Grandchildren; 3 Great Grandchildren; Sisters: Betty Scoles of Billings, MT; Lois Miller of Colorado; Brother: Ray Plymale (Linda) of Atwater, CA. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. he was preceded in death by his mother, sisters, Pat, Juanita, Nita, Laura; brothers, John Dale and Jim Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Harvey Funeral Home Chapel in Plattsmouth with Dr. Allan Wooters officiating. Visitation (NO VIEWING) will be held on Tuesday, January 25th from 1:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. with family greeting friends from 6-8 P.M. at the Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to the family.
