William H Thompson

William Thompson (Bill) age 70 was born March 2, 1946 to Bill and Edna Thompson in Boulder City, NV. He passed into eternal life on March 3, 2016 in Bellevue, NE. Bill’s family moved to Plattsmouth in 1954 where he graduated from Plattsmouth High School in 1964. He attended Midland College and served in the U. S. Army. Bill worked at Vickers in Omaha for many years until the plant closed in 2001. While living in Omaha Bill was a member of Pacific Hills Lutheran Church where he enjoyed singing in the choir and was involved in community outreach. Bill worked for Securitas for twelve years as a security guard at the Cass County site of the OPPD power plant. He was a long time member of the First Lutheran Church, Plattsmouth where he also sang in the choir. Bill trusted in Jesus as his savior. Bill struggled with cancer the past seven years. After surgeries and treatments he was always thankful to return to his home and the nice people of Plattsmouth. Bill is survived by his brother John (Claudia), nephews Joel and Jeff all of Sacramento, CA Memorial service will be at First Lutheran Church at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 11, 2016, with lunch to follow.
